Representatives of the Croatian Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy participated in the symbolic installation of artworks at the Mimara Museum
The Mimara Museum, Zagreb, 21 October 2026

On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., directors and other representatives from various Zagreb museums gathered at the Mimara Museum for a pre-premiere viewing of the new permanent exhibition. Through the symbolic act of placing artworks and objects in their new locations, they contributed to the renovated Mimara Museum and laid the groundwork for future inter-institutional cooperation. In each of the thematic rooms, an object was prepared that relates to the collection and/or mission of one of the invited institutions.
The guests were guided through the new permanent exhibition by the Museum’s director, PhD Tajana Pleše, alongside the Mimara Museum’s curatorial team.
Among the other distinguished institutions present — such as the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery, the Croatian History Museum, the Croatian Natural History Museum, the Museum of Arts and Crafts, the Archaeological Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, the Zagreb City Museum, the Croatian School Museum, the Croatian Sports Museum, the Typhlological Museum, the National Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Print Collection of the National and University Library (NSK), the Croatian National Theatre, and the Museum Documentation Centre — representatives were also invited from museums operating under the auspices of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU): the Strossmayer Gallery of Old Masters, the Glyptotheque, the Cabinet of Prints, and the Croatian Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy.
On behalf of the Croatian Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy, Director Silvija Brkić Midžić and Deputy Head PhD Stella Fatović-Ferenčić symbolically placed a Renaissance-era pharmaceutical jar — an albarello-type jar — which was presented to those gathered by Krešimir Juraga, a curator at the Mimara Museum.
