Dragutin Jelinek
Dragutin Jelinek, Croatian pharmacist (1869 – 1946), ran the pharmacy K sv. Mariji in Delnice, which was founded in 1875 by his father Karlo Jelinek as the first pharmacy in Gorski kotar. He was a respected entrepreneur, an active intellectual, and at one time the president of the Croatian Association of Pharmacists. He advocated for a better life in Delnice. Dragutin’s son Maks continued the tradition of successful pharmacists from this family, and the pharmacy still operates in the same building at Supilova 45 in Delnice, where part of the old inventory is kept.
